When an auto transmission fails you have numerous options that you can do. You can rebuild it or even junk it. At first you need to take the auto transmission out if the engine. Loosen the screws using a screwdriver and look at it closely whenever you remove one. Degrease all the parts using the typical chemical compounds. Get the Allen wrench and loosen the U-joint, be very careful not to extricate the ball bearing without your container to pick them up. Carefully remove every ball bearing and clean it, then re-add the bearings. Grease them with an industrial strength lubricate.
Rebuild the auto transmission in the reverse pattern that you dismantle the transmission by using the wrench slowly. Then use the screwdriver to replace all the screws. Do not over tight or strips each screws. Place the transmission back into the engine and test it if will work as if you are ready to roll.
Keep in mind that you should always consult your auto shop manual for safe jacking instructions. A vehicle without a full frame must only be supported where the damage to brake linings, axles and under body elements can be prevented, typically on the pinchweld where you will see notches for the jack.
